Pre-registered entries must be received 5 days before the contest! You can also register the day of the contest with no penalty! Registration begins at 5:00 AM at the Fishin' Hole in Kremmling at their new location at the southwest corner of the town square. Or at 5:30 AM at the Judging Station at the Wolford Recreational Fish Cleaning Station Area. Forms are NOW available at the Fishin' Hole in Kremmling .

Wolford Mountain Open Water Fishing Contest Rules and Regulations 2008

  1. All Colorado Fishing rules and regulations apply. Please consult your current 2008 rules and regulations, and be aware of rule changes.
  2. Only one cash prize will be awarded to any entrant.
  3. Cash prizes will be given out or mailed, if necessary, for prizewinning game fish. Fish, licenses and entry forms will be checked before distributing prize money. Prizes will be given out at 4:30 P.M. in the Wolford Recreational Fish Cleaning Station Area.
  4. Any door prizes must be claimed in person, beginning at 4:30 P.M. in the Wolford Recreational Fish Cleaning Station Area the day of the contest.
  5. Official time clock will be at the Fish Cleaning Station Area.
  6. Placing for prizes is based on total weight of 2 fish caught by registered individual during the hours of 6 AM – 4 PM on the day of the contest in Wolford Mountain Reservoir Waters. Participants may weight-in only one time.
  7. In the event of a tie, the first 2 fish weigh-in registered during the day of the contest wins.
  8. Only fish caught during contest hours, 6 AM – 4 PM on the day of the contest will be eligible.
  9. Any violation of contest rules, Colorado fishing laws or Grand County laws brought to the attention of the Fishing Contest Commitee or Colorado River Water Conservation District, will subject the violator to review for prize eligibility.
  10. Only registered anglers may win prizes. Unregistered anglers in your party may jeopardize the validity of a fish caught by a registered entrant.
  11. Irresponsible boating by any member of fishing party may result in disqualification of entire party.
  12. The Colorado River Water Conservation District and Wolford Mountain Reservoir Fishing Contest Committee claim no responsibility for accidents or injuries. You are on the premises at your own risk!
  13. Pre-registration forms must be complete, and have the CID number on them or they will not be considered a valid entry.
  14. Children 15 and under are FREE. Children may pay and enter as an adult by paying the registration fee, and will consequently be eligible to win any adult prizes, including cash prizes.
  15. Please keep the area clean. Use garbage cans or pack your garbage out.

We, the Fishing Contest Committee, encourage catch and release if possible.
